Whatever your fancy, this easy method for preparing mac n cheese is as delicious as the traditional stovetop method, but faster, easier, and requires less cleanup. Maybe you are a parent and Kraft Macaroni and Cheese is a favorite for your family? Or, maybe you just love to enjoy it solo. Is there anything an Instant Pot can’t improve? Just when I thought there was no way to make cheesy, buttery macaroni and cheese from a box better, my Instant Pot made life simpler. Kraft Macaroni N Cheese is a childhood staple meal and this method for cooking it makes it faster and easier than ever. Then add ¼ cup of milk and four tablespoons of butter per box and all the cheese packets and you are in business. That is something everyone can get excited about!Īnother great benefit to this method? You can cook several boxes of Kraft Macaroni N Cheese all at once! A great option when you are feeding a crowd! If you’re cooking more than one box, you’ll just need to add enough water to cover the macaroni. Bonus, this take on classic Kraft Mac N Cheese virtually eliminates cleanup. Start to finish, this recipe takes only ten minutes and uses just your Instant Pot. No need to pull out your pots and pans and strainer. I promised simplicity! No need for boiling and straining noodles. Stir the Mac and Cheese until all ingredients are. Turn the instant pot on low, sauté mode for 1 minute and add the mild cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, heavy cream, butter, and black pepper. Add milk, butter and the contents of the cheese packet, stir and you are done. After 4 minutes, do a quick-release on the instant pot and immediately open the lid (or it will continue cooking). Cook for 2 minutes on High pressure, let the pressure naturally release for 5 minutes, than quick release the remaining pressure. To make Kraft Macaroni N Cheese in your Instant Pot, you put macaroni and water in the Instant Pot, close it, and turn it on. Let the cooker rest for 5 more minutes and then press Cancel and turn the valve to vent to release the pressure. ![]() Stir in milk and cubes of cheese, turn instant pot to sautee if. Place a damp rag over the pressure release to catch any splatter. Cook on high pressure for 4 minutes, then quick release the pressure. 16 ounces large shell pasta, 1 teaspoon salt, 4 cups water, ½ teaspoon ground black pepper. Press Pressure Cook, at High pressure level, and set the time to 5 Minutes. Place pasta, water, salt and pepper in instant pot. Make sure the steam release valve is turned to Sealing. In fact, Instant Pot is the only way I cook pasta from now on. Put on and lock the lid of the Instant Pot®. But if you got picky kids who demands the boxed Kraft macaroni and cheese, you can cook it in the Instant Pot too :) The advantage of using the Instant Pot over the stove top is that you don’t need to drain it and also you can walk away without the fear of burning down your kitchen!
